2. Purpose
Gasolímetro is a free tool that estimates the fuel consumption and cost of a car journey. It requires no registration, sells no products or services and is funded by Google AdSense advertising.
3. Terms of use
By using the site you accept this legal notice. You agree to use it lawfully and not to damage it, overload it or prevent its normal use, nor to use it for large-scale automated requests against the third-party services it integrates.
4. Accuracy and liability
Results are indicative estimates based on the data you enter and on factors taken from published studies, explained on the methodology page. Real consumption depends on many factors the calculator cannot know.
Average fuel prices come from the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition; routes from OpenStreetMap and OSRM; exchange rates from the European Central Bank via Frankfurter. The owner does not guarantee their accuracy or permanent availability and is not liable for decisions based on the results.
5. Intellectual property
The texts, design, logo, the Gasolímetro brand and the site’s code belong to the owner or are used with permission. Commercial reproduction without prior permission is not allowed. Third-party data keeps its own licence: maps and places © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL); fuel prices, open data from the Spanish Ministry.
6. Links to other sites
The site links to external sources (government agencies, laboratories and motoring clubs) so you can check the data. The owner does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content.
7. Governing law
This legal notice is governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, the courts of your place of residence have jurisdiction.
